J. Knobel Investor Services Limited is a Cyprus-incorporated company registered as a tied agent of Mega Equity Securities & Financial Services Public Ltd (CIF License No. 011/03) with the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). We are listed in the CySEC Public Register and operate under the Investment Services Law of 2017 (Law 87(I)/2017) and MiFID II (Directive 2014/65/EU). Our Managing Director, John Knobel, holds a CySEC Advanced Certificate (CN 1583).

As a tied agent, we are authorized to provide:

  • Investment Advice: Non-independent advice tailored to your financial goals, risk tolerance, and circumstances, based on MiFID II suitability assessments.

  • Reception and Transmission of Orders (RTO): Transmitting your trade instructions (e.g., for stocks, bonds, ETFs) to Mega Equity for execution.

Regulatory Note: J. Knobel does not execute trades, hold client funds, or provide custodial or independent advisory services. All regulated activities, including execution and asset management, are performed by Mega Equity under its full responsibility.

For more details, visit the CySEC Public Register.

Scope of Services

Regulated Services (Under MiFID II)

  • Investment Advice: We provide personalized, non-independent recommendations on financial instruments, based on a suitability assessment of your financial situation, objectives, and risk tolerance. Advice may involve conflicts of interest (e.g., inducements), which are disclosed in Mega Equity’s client agreements.

  • Reception and Transmission of Orders (RTO): We receive your trade instructions (via voice or electronic means) and transmit them to Mega Equity for execution on markets such as the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE), Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), or over 35 global markets.

Risk Warning: Investments in financial instruments (e.g., stocks, bonds, ETFs) carry risks, including potential loss of capital due to market volatility, currency fluctuations, or other factors. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Review Mega Equity’s Key Information Documents (KIDs) before investing.

Unregulated Services

J. Knobel offers supplementary financial planning and onboarding support (e.g., guidance on portfolio structuring, retirement planning). These are not regulated under MiFID II or CySEC and are not covered by investor protection mechanisms like the Investor Compensation Fund. Clients should seek professional tax or legal advice for unregulated services where applicable.

Risks of Investing

All investments involve risks, and you may lose some or all of your capital. Key risks include:

  • Market Risk: The value of investments may decrease due to market fluctuations.

  • Currency Risk: Investments in foreign markets may be affected by exchange rate changes.

  • Liquidity Risk: Some instruments may be difficult to sell or trade.

No Guaranteed Returns: Past performance does not predict future results.

Before investing, review Mega Equity’s risk disclosures and KIDs, available in the client pack. Always consult a professional advisor to ensure investments align with your risk profile.

Fees and Costs

Fees for regulated services (e.g., advice, RTO, execution) are charged by Mega Equity and disclosed in their client agreements. J. Knobel does not directly charge fees but may receive inducements, which are disclosed by Mega Equity in compliance with MiFID II. For unregulated services (e.g., financial planning), any fees are agreed directly with J. Knobel and detailed in separate agreements.

Note: Always review fee disclosures before engaging our services. Costs may impact investment returns.

Conflicts of Interest

As a tied agent providing non-independent advice, J. Knobel may receive inducements (e.g., commissions) from Mega Equity or third parties, which could create conflicts of interest. Mega Equity maintains a conflicts of interest policy to manage and disclose these, available upon request or in client agreements. We are committed to acting in your best interests under MiFID II suitability rules.

Client Data and Privacy

J. Knobel collects client information (e.g., via suitability assessments) to provide services, which is transmitted to Mega Equity for processing. All data handling complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect your data, including your rights to access, rectify, or delete your information.
